Your messages for Matthew
Thirteen-year-old Matthew Moore is making a slow but steady recovery
in hospital after a swimming pool accident at his home.
Metthew, from Frostenden, received serious injuries including two fractures
of the neck, severe damage to his spinal chord, a fractured jaw and a
collapsed lung in the accident after he used a trampoline to dive into
a garden swimming pool in August.
He is in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and his family make daily trips
to Cambridge to be at his bedside. They know that there will be a long
battle ahead and have thanked the medical teams and the youngster’s
many friends for their support.
Send your messages of support to Matthew by emailing david.lennard@archant.co.uk
and they will be published on this page.

Dear Matty
I hope you get better soon. We all really miss you at school. I hope you
make a speedy recovery, and get back to full health.
I'd really like to write to you or send a card. If you could let me know
an address that I could send to, I'd be really grateful.
Hopefully you've got my email address from this, alternatively you could
let Worlingham Middle know an address for you and they could send it on.
In the mean time get well soon.

I don’t know if you will remember me – my name is also Matthew
Phillip and I am grandson of Aunty Brenda Bevan who used to live in Clay
Common – I came to play with you and have tea when I was visiting
my grandparents at Lilac Cottage when we were much younger so I’m
not sure if you will remember, but you may remember Aunty Bevan, your
mum Carole’s friend. Ask your Mum and she will remind you!!
I was so sorry when my Grandma Brenda told me about your accident –
she sent me the cutting from the Lowestoft Journal – it looks horrible
and I hope they’re looking after you at Addenbrookes and that you
make a good recovery.
Love to you and to your family.
Matt (Matthew Philip Thomson)
