Lowestoft Journal Photo Competition

THIS stunning array of images represents the first 26 winners of The Journal’s popular Picture of the Week competition.

Each photograph rose above stiff competition to be crowned a worthy winner, with some beating as many as 80 other entries to walk away with the prize. Now they have the chance to be named our six-monthly champion.

Amongst the winners are luscious landscapes, serene sunsets and adorable animals. So if it’s Robin Knight’s bubblilicious pair of images, Gary Walker’s two apocalyptic views, Carl Baldry’s sumptuous sunflower, or any of the other stunning winners that stands out for you, now is the chance to have your say.

All of the winners to date have received their triumphant photograph in a 12in x 10in frame, mounted and inscribed, worth more than £60 from Picture Studios, of London Road North, Lowestoft, and the six-monthly champion is set to receive a printed 12in x 18in photo block worth £130.

So if you want to vote for your favourite image simply browse through all of the pictures below and click on your favourite one to send in an email - please include your name, address and daytime telephone number, only one entry per person will be accepted.

We are now accepting entries for next week’s competition. They have to be taken by amateur photographers and we would prefer the pictures to be digital and between 500KB and 1MB in size. We will also accept prints; however please do not send negatives or originals as we are unable to return items submitted.
To enter, send your picture, along with your name, address and contact details, to Journal editor Russell Cook at russell.cook@archant.co.uk and mark your e-mail “Journal photo competition”.
