Many thanks to Wangford Vets Practice

OUR one-year-old labrador swallowed a baited fishhook on Covehithe beach on June 16. Emergency surgery was performed that night at The Wangford Vetinary Practice.

Name sadly missing

03 July 2009 10:51

I READ the list of proposed names for the future Lowestoft Sixth Form College, published in The Journal (June 26) with a profound sense of disappointment that the Kenneth Johnson Sixth Form College was not included among them.

Mystery cat

03 July 2009 10:44

A SMALL article in The Journal (June 29) about the cat with no tail, prompted me to write. For five or six years I have been intrigued by a black and white cat with no tail that seemed to live in the Kirkley Ham area, as I frequently encountered him when I was cycling along the path.

The town has a rundown air about it

03 July 2009 10:33

WHEN are we going to get our town and sea front up to the task of attracting visitors? It is in a state of disarray. Our public places are left and not repaired; the gateway to Kensington Gardens has not been fixed, tiles missing from roofs of buildings in the park, chipped stonework on the monument and both sets of gates could do with a coat of paint.

Many thanks to the voters of Green Party

03 July 2009 10:14

I AM writing to thank the many people who voted for the Green Party in the recent elections and in particular those who voted for Maxine Narburgh and me in the Gunton Division.

Broads Angling Strategy Group in despair

03 July 2009 10:10

I WOULD like to point out that the Broads Angling Strategy Group (BASG) has not agreed with the Broads Authority over a high season ban for anglers from four prime spots during the high boating season because of disputes at moorings.
