The 'Spy's House' Gunton Cliffs
Back in 1958, when holidaying in Lowestoft from the Midlands, we came across a spooky looking ruin of what we assumed to be a large burnt-out house - a think the very end property on the seaward side leaving Lowestoft (I believe Jimmy Hoseason later built a bungalow on this site).
A local, at the time, referred to it as 'the spy's house' (quite possibly a Dutchman?)
This subject has facinated me for the past 50 years and I would appreciate it if any reader could fill me in with more details - even a photograph of same if that is possible?
I moved from the Midlands to Mundesley in 1983. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you -
Michael Peters
