A sinkhole has opened up at the junction of a street.

The hole appeared at the junction of Stanley Street and Walton Road in Lowestoft on Monday. 

Photographs show that the road has collapsed, exposing a pipe below the ground.

The hole has been fenced off and is awaiting further investigations and repairs by Anglian Water who provides water supply, sewerage and sewage treatment to the region. 

A spokeswoman for Anglian Water said: "Our teams are currently on site investigating and we’re awaiting to hear further information from them."
