Family-run AW & D Hammond Ford, based solely at Halesworth, has boosted its sales team to build on its success and customer care.

The Norwich Road Ford franchise now has four sales executives for the first time as well as a new business manager who can offer customers the best funding package for their purchase.

The sales team now comprises sales manager John Barker, business manager Jon Haines and sales executives James Coe, Chris Elvin, Peter Gibbs and Ian McBrearty.

AW & D Hammond Ford dealer principal Paul Marjoram said: “We have been very successful in our business – enough to need four salespeople and are now increasing our offerings to customers, such as having increased vehicle stock.

“We have also taken on a business manager to satisfy the needs of our growing customer base.

“We look after customers not just for the lifetime of the vehicle but for the lifetime of the customer,” he stressed. “The company has built up an ethos for customer care.”

He said the Ford range of cars was the best ever when it came to variety of models and overall quality of the brand which helped drive new sales.

“Our sales have been increasing year on year,” he said.

AW & D Hammond Ford is also giving customers more choice by increasing stock at its recently-refurbished used vehicle display area by 25% for 2015. Many are local cars, supplied and maintained by AW & D Hammond Ford, but it can also source hundreds more Ford Approved and Ford Direct cars from dealerships around the country.

“It is not just about selling a car for us, it is about building a relationship,” said Mr Marjoram. “We just want to get bigger and better and we support it with our very solid customer care focus.”

That customer-first focus includes an aftersales collection and delivery service and free courtesy cars.

AW & D Hammond Ford is also inviting customers to its Ford Tech Live weekend on January 16 to 18, which, coinciding with the launch of the new Focus, gives people the chance to find out more about Ford’s latest innovative technology such as SYNC 2 connectivity, active park assist and inflatable rear seat belts.
