Awards night to showcase success of businesses across Lowestoft and Waveney

Businesses are being invited to enter this year’s Suffolk Chamber of Commerce business awards for Lowestoft and Waveney.

The awards aim to recognise successful businesses across all sectors from the area and bring to the forefront their excellence, innovation and the fantastic work that they do.

A spokesman for the awards said: “We have businesses defending their titles from previous years, businesses entering for the first time and new businesses wanting to increase awareness of their brand, so if you know of any businesses that you feel deserve recognition let them know about our awards, or nominate them yourselves! And if you think your business should be recognised for all its hard work and contribution to any number of award categories, now is the time to start your entry application.”

The Awards Gala Dinner takes place on Friday, November 10, at Ivy House Country Hotel in Oulton Broad.

The categories to nominate in are: Apprentice/Trainee of the Year Award sponsored by Waveney MP Peter Aldous, Business of the Year Award sponsored by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, Business Person of the Year Award sponsored by Lowestoft Rising, Commitment to Skills and Staff Development Award, Community Pride Award sponsored by Waveney Norse, Enterprise in Education Award sponsored by Pleasurewood Hills, Excellence in Customer Service Award for one to 10 employees sponsored by Lowestoft Vision, Excellence in Customer Service Award 11 or more employees sponsored by Essex and Suffolk Water, Family Business of the Year Award sponsored by Lovewell Blake Chartered Accountants, Growing Business Award sponsored by Associated British Ports, Local Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Award sponsored by Waveney District Council, Most Promising New Business Award sponsored by East Coast College, Recognition of Lifetime Achievement Award sponsored by Archant and Young Entrepreneur Award sponsored by Ivy House Country Hotel.
