The iPhone was taken from the BP garage at the top of Lowestoft’s High Street at about 1.10pm on Wednesday, May 8.

A man had dropped his iPhone while in the garage but only realised what had happened as he drove away.

He then returned to the filling station to collect it but the iPhone had already been claimed by another man who was wearing a red hooded top.

The thief who claimed the man’s iPhone can be seen in the CCTV image that was released by Lowestoft police yesterday.

Anyone who may have any information on the man in the CTV image or has information on the theft of the iPhone on Wednesday, May 8 at the BP garage is asked to telephone Lowestoft police station on 101.
