Visitors attending festive events across Waveney can enjoy free parking in council-owned car parks on selected dates.

To coincide with the Christmas lights switch-ons and festive events in Lowestoft, Beccles and Halesworth, Waveney District Council is offering free parking in council-owned car parks from 4pm on the following dates:

■ Lowestoft on Saturday, November 18

■ Beccles on Friday, November 24

■ Halesworth on Saturday, November 25

■ Lowestoft on Friday, December 8

Graham Catchpole, Waveney’s cabinet member for operational partnerships said: “We are pleased to once again be offering free parking in Lowestoft, Beccles and Halesworth for their respective Christmas lights events. We hope this will encourage even more people to visit Lowestoft and our market towns, enjoy the festivities and support our local businesses.”
