A purse, an iPhone and a handbag were stolen from a car after thieves smashed two windows to break in.

Thieves struck at around 1.30pm on Monday, September 17, as the vehicle was parked at Dip Farm car park in Lowestoft.

The car, a silver Honda CRV, had its front passenger window and rear driver’s window smashed during the theft, and witnesses reportedly saw a man in his 50s wearing a green jacket run into the woods following the incident.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said: “A policeman discovered the incident at 1.55pm. They came across a vehicle with two smashed windows at Dip Farm, on Corton Road, Lowestoft.
