Two new partners have been appointed at regional accountants Lovewell Blake.

Mary Schofield joined the firm’s tax team in 2008, specialising in corporation and international tax issues, after starting her career with a big four firm and taking a break in industry. She will work in the Norwich and Lowestoft offices.

Leigh Thurston joined Lovewell Blake as a trainee in 2004. Initially based at the firm’s Halesworth office, he now splits his time between its Thetford and Ely offices, working with clients ranging from private individuals to owner-managed businesses.

He is also treasurer of the Diss Business Forum.

Senior partner Paul Briddon said: “Mary has brought considerable experience and specialist tax expertise to the firm, while Leigh has played a key role in expanding our business in Thetford, as well as in establishing our Ely office since 2016.

“They are both excellent ambassadors for the firm and good examples of our commitment to career development. The partners are delighted to welcome them, and look forward to them making a significant contribution to the partnership.”
