More than 50 employers attended Lowestoft College’s employment marketplace, which was held last week.

The event, which is now in its fifth year, is designed to give college students, apprentices and pupils from local schools the chance to find out about the many career opportunities that are available locally and nationally, while meeting a broad range of employers.

When it was first introduced, the event had an engineering focus but it has grown over the years to include other industries and this year it featured organisations from care and healthcare, tourism and hospitality and the public services.

As well as receiving advice about job roles and career paths available from a total of 53 employers that attended, students were also able to find out more about the training opportunities available and pick up some useful tips to help them prepare for future job applications and interviews.
