Police are investigating purse thefts

POLICE are appealing for information after two purse thefts in London Road North on Thursday.

A woman was walking between the QD and Age UK stores between 1.25pm and 1.50pm when it is thought her black leather purse, containing cash, was taken from her bag.

In the second theft an 83-year-old woman had her brown leather wallet stolen from her bag between 1.45pm and 2.45pm while she was shopping in the town centre.

Anyone with information about the thieves should call the Lowestoft north safer neighbourhood team on 101.
