The trial of a man accused of attempted murder following a serious incident in which a man was shot multiple times will take place in March next year.

The victim, in his 30’s, was seen staggering with injuries in High Street, Lowestoft, about 1.20pm on August 27 after a group of people allegedly broke into his home with weapons and stole cash.

He was treated for gunshot wounds to his back and neck, which required surgery to remove multiple pellets.

Before Ipswich Crown Court today (Wednesday) for a plea and trial preparation hearing was Thomas Dale, 19, of no fixed abode who pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder the man. He also denied aggravated burglary in High Street, Lowestoft on August 27 with an imitation firearm and stealing cash.

Also before the court was Daniel Howarth, 25, of Carlton Square, Carlton Colville, who also pleaded not guilty to aggravated burglary.

Their trial will take place on March 5.
