Ofsted visited Hobart High School, in Loddon, at the start of November, four years after they originally gave it a good rating.

Inspectors confirmed the school remained good in its latest visit, and said headteacher Jim Adams and colleagues had led the school with “dedication, consistency and rigour”.

They said: “[Pupils] wholeheartedly take advantage of extra-curricular opportunities. They are polite and courteous to adults and each other. They move around the site in a calm and orderly fashion and treat their facilities with care and consideration.”

Inspectors said pupils are “very proud” of the school and “clearly enjoy attending”.

Mr Adams said: “We are really pleased - we were confident it would be a good outcome but there’s always a worry at the back of your mind. We are very pleased, and particularly that the changes we have made over the last few years have been recognised.

“It was nice to see the relationships between staff, students and parents praised - we really feel that’s the case, so to have someone from Ofsted recongise that is great.”
