A supermarket manager has taken a giant leap for charity, by plunging out of a plane.

Karen Disney, senior manager of Morrison’s in Pakefield, took part in a sky dive to raise funds for the store’s chosen charity - CLIC Sargent.

The national charity, which relies heavily on voluntary donations, works with young people who are affected by cancer and their families.

The dive took place on Tuesday, August 1 and successfully raised more than £500 for the charity, to help its fight against the illness.

Sheryl Rumble, community champion for the store said: “When cancer strikes young lives, Clic Sargent limits the damages it causes beyond their health providing specialist support to help guide each young cancer patient and their family.

“At the moment they can only reach two out of the three young people that need their support but with help from donations they can do more to ensure young lives get all the support they need.”
