A treasured Pandora bracelet and a drone, which had both gone missing months ago, have been reunited with their grateful owners – thanks to police and the power of social media.

Earlier this month, Lowestoft Police issued appeals via Facebook and Twitter to trace the owners of the missing items after a drone was found in a garden near to Raglan Street, Lowestoft in July. A photo was also shared separately of a Pandora Bracelet which had been handed into police after being lost a year ago.

Messages on the Lowestoft Police Facebook page praised everyone that shared the post about the drone, as the owner was found and “the drone has been returned.”

And thanks to “the power of Facebook,” a “very happy lady” went in to Lowestoft Police Station to collect the Pandora bracelet which “had been found/lost a year ago.”

A police spokesman added: “Please pass on the details of Lowestoft Police Facebook page to friends and family who live in the areas of Lowestoft, Beccles and Bungay, so we can keep you informed of policing information in the area and hopefully reunite a few more people with lost/stolen valuables.”
