A popular walking group returns to explore Lowestoft’s fascinating history while keeping members fit.

The ‘Lowestoft Scores Walk’ group will meet every Sunday to wander through the town and discover some of its unique stories.

Walkers will meet in the car park at the bottom of the ravine at 10am, from Sunday, September 16.

The season will kick off with a ‘Walk’n’Talk’ session, led by guest guide Dean Parkin, a well known Lowestoft author. Other guest guides will include aviation historian Bob Collis and paranormal expert Ivan Bunn.

The group organiser, Dick Houghton, said: “Join us for healthy mild exercise in the open air, and enjoy the splendid and unusual views on the way.

It is not a race nor do you have to complete the whole walk, so you can easily join us for a delve into Lowestoft’s past, present and future.”
