A 44-year-old man has been charged with a public order offence after an incident at a building society in Halesworth.

The incident took place at 11.40am yesterday (Thursday, June 21) at the Ipswich Building Society in the Thoroughfare.

Toby Millet, of Bridge Street, Halesworth, was charged with a public order offence of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause two people to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them.

Millett was released on bail to appear before Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on July 11.
