UPDATE Arrests made after burglars target elderly woman in Lowestoft

TWO people have been arrested following a burglary at the home of a woman in her 80s in Southwell Road in Lowestoft.

A 42-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested this afternoon in connection with the burglary which happened between 7pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday.

A purse, jewellery and mobile phones were stolen in the incident.

Both people arrested on suspicion of burglary have been taken into custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where they will be interviewed by officers.
