Van power boosts Norfolk hospice appeal

The new look EACH van

Eye-catching van power has been enlisted to help boost an appeal to build a £10m hospice in Norfolk.

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH) has converted one of its delivery vans into a moving advertisement for its nook appeal to build a new hospice at Framingham Earl, near Norwich.

The highly visible van features how people can donate to the appeal, which was launched in November by the Duchess of Cambridge, and the slogan “Help us to deliver a new children’s hospice for Norfolk” and the nook appeal logo.

And the van’s livery also mentions the Eastern Daily Press to mark how the newspaper has been a staunch supporter of the appeal as its media partner.

The van will be seen at its makes it way to and from EACH’s network of three hospices, 16 shops and four fundraising offices.

And as well as boosting the appeal it is hoped people who see the van will use Facebook and Twitter to tell EACH how they have spotted the vehicle on its travels.

Gabrielle Spray. EACH’s head of retail said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the van, it looks really bright and colourful and is another great way to spread the word about the nook appeal to a wide audience.

“We use the vans to deliver and collect goods to and from out network of shops, hospices and fundraising offices as well as house collections, so it will be seen by a diverse audience across a wide area.

“If you see the van on your travels please let us know on Twitter and Facebook.

The print costs of the van’s new look were funded by the Inner Wheel Club of Huntingdon.
