A multi-million pound sea defence project continues to take shape off Hopton, between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.

This aerial video, shot by Mike Page, shows tonnes of imported rock piled on the shoreline, ready to be replace the rotting wooden groynes.

Bourne Leisure, operator of Hopton Holiday Village overlooking the sea, is spending about £7m protecing the cliffs.

Last winter, the firm invested £3m on emergency work and shored up the crumbling cliffs with 20,000 tonnes of earth and 12,000 tonnes of rock.

The current work to replace 50 year old wooden defences with rock groynes began in April and will take several months to complete.
