Witness appeal after elderly man gropes teenage boy’s bottom in Lowestoft

Police are hunting for an elderly man who is alleged to have groped the bottom of a teenage boy in Lowestoft.

The incident happened at around 8.50am on Tuesday, September 12, when a teenager was approached from behind on Lovewell Road while he was stood beside a push bike.

The man, who is described as white, around 5ft 2ins tall and possibly in his 80s, then approached the teen and grabbed his back side over his clothes before walking away in the direction of Beaconsfield Road.

He was wearing a brown suit jacket, brown trousers and black shoes and had two hearing aids in.

Officers are keen to speak to anybody who may have seen anybody matching the description in the area at the time stated, or may have any information regarding the investigation.

Anybody with information should contact the incident and crime management hub at Suffolk Police on 101, quoting reference 60994/17.
