A woman was kicked and punched while she lay on the floor after she was set upon by a trio of women in Bungay.

She was approached by a group of three women who, following a brief exchange, grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground.

They then punched and kicked her while she lay on the floor.

During the attack, the victim suffered bruising and cuts to her face.

The women are believed to have left the scene on foot in the direction of Outney Road.
