Lowestoft Town manager Jamie Godbold has called on his players to "start another run" as they prepare for league and cup action in the week ahead.

An away trip to Tilbury in the Pitching In Isthmian League North division on Saturday will be quickly followed by a visit to Haverhill Rovers in the Suffolk County Cup on Tuesday.

And The Trawlerboys are aiming to get back to winning ways after an unbeaten run that stretched back to November was ended by second-placed Hashtag United last Saturday.

The Tags triumphed with two goals in the opening 10 minutes sealing a 0-2 win on their first-ever visit to Lowestoft in front of 1,111 fans.

But The Blues remain in third place after a 2-2 derby draw with Wroxham at a foggy Fosters Solicitors Community Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Curtis had given the visitors a 13th minute lead before Jake Reed equalised in the 28th minute following a fine move.

Luke Holt then made a fine double penalty save in the 32nd minute, before defender Sam Johnson unleashed a superb 78th minute strike that swerved beyond Sutton to put Lowestoft 2-1 ahead.

But as visibility worsened, the visitors equalised in the 90th minute.

Blues boss Jamie Godbold said: "It was a disappointing start to the game on Saturday, and we gave ourselves a bigger mountain to climb going 0-2 down.

"On Tuesday it was disappointing not to take the three points, but after going behind it was pleasing we did not lose back to back games.

"So it was a point from games against two of the form sides and now the aim is on getting a run together for the rest of the season.

"Tilbury will be a tough game but we are very capable of putting a run together and hopefully we will have a full squad to choose from."
