Lowestoft Club getting ready for the new tennis season

PUBLISHED: 19:12 15 March 2017 | UPDATED: 19:12 15 March 2017

Lowestoft Town Tennis Club, based at Denes Oval, is preparing to start the new season with four teams in the Norwich League, with a change of club nights and an opportunity for new members to attend sessions with coach Stuart Brabben.

The 30-member club has four courts and the use of clubroom facilities. It will start its new season with club nights on Tuesdays from April 4 at 5.30pm until dusk, to the end of September, and every Wednesday to April 26 before league matches commence. It is also introducing Saturday club afternoons from April 8 from 2pm to the end of September.

The club has agreed three dates in April, July and September for tournaments for the Ivor Jones, Dell and Juler trophies.

The club will enter four teams in the Lowestoft and District League and two teams in the Norfolk Veterans’ League.

It will also host the Lowestoft Championships from July 8-15.
