North Walsham’s second string were far too strong and well drilled for a game Norwich Medics II side in the Norfolk Bowl, winning 96-5 at Scottow.

Eleven different players ran in 16 tries, eight in each half, as the hosts made comfortable progress.

A dominant pack led by skipper George Rossi provided good quick ball to the backline who spread the ball at every opportunity.

The tries came from wing Michael Mulhall (3), Henry Hunt, Greg Wills and Will Haynes (2), George Rossi, Will Quinn, Aaron Beaumont, Ted Morgan, Ben Rossi, Liam Clarke and Seb Roberts with Morgan (5) and Mulhall (3) adding the conversions.

Southwold’s Suffolk Cup tie at Woodbridge went to extra-time, with the home side eventually prevailing 42-32. Southwold had been 20-8 down at half-time but fought their back to level at 25-25 after 80 minutes. Tim O’Connell, James Barton and Sherard Block crossed for the visitors while they were also awarded a penalty try.
