Phoenix Karate School’s winter grading was a great success when students from across the group converged on Cliff Park Ormiston Academy to show off their skills in front of the grading panel.

Distinctions were awarded to Julia Chua and Dominick Tibayan.

Other results were: 12th Kyu yellow belt: Daniel Brown, George Cobb, Bethany Impson, Amber Creasey, Eva Mavroudis, Tyler-Jai Pipe, Oskar Robertson, Ashleigh-Rose Cowlbeck, Millie Cook.

11th Kyu yellow belt black stripe: Amy-Louise Piggott, India Palmer, Isla Skeet, Hema Manivannan, Freya Cudmore, Blake Durham-Sylvester, Joey Bedford, William Bedford.

10th Kyu orange belt: Harry Minney, Arlie Dobson, Ben Goose, Myo Zin Han, Dexter Ribbands, Skye Palmer, Deryn Dobson.

9th Kyu orange belt black stripe: Tomasz Pasieczny, Robin Kirk, Richard Petersen, Max Thacker, Imogen Louison, Lily-Mai Green.

Wisbech 6, Lowestoft & Yarmouth 18

L&Y progressed to the final eight of the EDF National Junior Vase competition at the expense of fellow EC1 rivals Wisbech in a superbly supported and thoroughly tense encounter at the Fenland club.
