Waveney Valley Athletic Club seniors moved to top of the league table in the Suffolk Winter Cross Country League after another strong performance at the second fixture at Sutton, near Woodbridge.
The flat course consisting of sandy heath land and farm fields proved to be ideal for Waveney’s roadrunners, especially for the in-form Dominic Oliver and Matt Jeffries who have posted some swift times recently.
Dominic was the class act in claiming first place with his speedy time of 24.29. Jeffries was just 11 second adrift in second with 24.40.
