Waveney suffered another disappointing loss as a continued failing to score goals cost them dear.

They dominated the game for long spells but failed to turn possession into many clear-cut chances as Long Stratton’s defence had a comfortable afternoon.

The visitors took the lead on 26 minutes with their first effort on goal. A free kick saw the ball headed down to James Bemrose who volleyed home from just inside the box.

The second half saw Waveney pushing for an equaliser but against the run of play a mistake on the halfway line gifted the ball to Long Stratton as 16-year-old Bemrose raced clear and poked the ball past James Bergin.

Waveney battled hard but never really looked like breaking down their opponents and the closest they came was a Ritchi High effort which was cleared off the line. There is no fixture tomorrow. Man-of-the-match: Adam Taylor.
