Wolves keeper extends Lowestoft Town stay ahead of Suffolk Premier Cup clash with Hadleigh

Lowestoft Town have extended the loan deal of Wolves goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne for a further month.

The 18-year-old has impressed since arriving from Molineux, displacing Marcus Garnham as first choice keeper at Crown Meadow, who has since left the Trawlerboys.

Burgoyne, who is vying with Jake Jessup for the number one jersey ahead of Lowestoft’s Suffolk Premier Cup tie at home to Hadleigh this evening, is confident he can help turn around the Blues’ form during his stay.

Burgoyne said: “I have enjoyed working with Ady (Gallagher); along with his management team and the players at Lowestoft, so when the opportunity came about to extend my loan it didn’t require much persuasion.

“As a young goalkeeper, you can’t beat playing first team football to help you to push on with your career. I’m grateful, therefore, that Ady has given me that opportunity; and while some results have narrowly gone against us, I can see that Ady has the nucleus of a very good side.”
