Big screen entertainment and dance shows at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft

From dance shows to special screenings, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft in the week ahead.

The packed schedule kicks off with The Mummy (15) on the big screen at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on July 28 and again on August 3.

Next up is the Charlotte Wood Academy of Dance as they present their end-of-year show on Saturday, July 29 at 2.30pm – all seats £10. This is a chance for family and friends to see what the students have learnt throughout the year.

Dance styles including ballet, tap, modern jazz and street will be performed with children from two upwards on stage.

The theatre will then host an encore screening by satellite of André Rieu: Maastricht 2017 (12A) on Sunday, July 30 at 3pm.

Known to millions as ‘­The King of Waltz’, André Rieu is one of the world’s most popular music artists. This legendary annual Maastricht concert is the most eagerly anticipated cinema event of the year – setting new box office records in several countries last year.

The Maastricht concert features the maestro in his element, along with his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra, sopranos, tenors and very special guests. Tickets cost £15 or concessions £12.

An incredible live show, which creates a new era in Irish entertainment, will be performed on Monday, July 31 at 7.30pm.

Rhythm of the Dance also features world champion dancers, a traditional Irish band, and the Young Irish Tenors.

Internationally rated as one of the most popular and successful Irish Step Dance shows on tour, all seats cost £24.75, concessions £22.75, privilege card holders £21.75.

Next month at the Marina, films such as Despicable Me 3, Cars 3, War for the Planet of the Apes and Dunkirk will be showcased. There will also be special screenings and music from Jane McDonald.
