Films and music take centre stage at venue

Top music acts and a number of exciting films on the big screen will be showcased at the Marina Theatre in the week ahead.

The Jungle Bunch (U) will be shown at 10.30am today (Friday, October 27) and tomorrow at 2.30pm.

The extremely popular film Victoria & Abdul (PG) will also hit the big screen at 2.30pm and 7.30pm today and at 7.30pm on October 28 and October 30.

The Glass Castle (12A) will be shown at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on October 31 and November 1.

Attention then turns to the stage as An Evening with Charlie Landsborough is enjoyed at 7.30pm on Thursday, November 2. Charlie has played all over the world and is one of the biggest selling artists in Irish music history. Tickets cost £19.75, concessions £18.75 and Privilege Card Holders £17.75.

The Johnny Cash Roadshow will return to the Marina next Friday, November 3 at 7.30pm.

Prepare for a musical and emotional rollercoaster, unrivalled by any other that truly celebrates the career of a music legend, Johnny Cash. Tickets cost £20, concessions £19 and Privilege Card Holders: £18.

Next month, two shows featuring top class music will be showcased.

The legendary Bay City Rollers show will tell the story of how five ordinary guys from Edinburgh became a worldwide pop sensation when it is performed at the Marina Theatre on Friday, November 10 at 7.30pm.

The Bay City Rollers notched up nine UK top ten hits including two number one’s – and starred the ever popular Les McKeown. Join Les on a nostalgic ride back to when the world turned tartan in the mid 70’s and re-live those teenage wonder years with his fantastic four piece band. All seats £22.75 .

Celebrating the music of one of the world’s greatest pop bands, ABBA Forever – presented by Sweeney Entertainments – is one of the UK’s leading International tribute shows.

It will be performed at the Marina Theatre on Saturday, November 11 at 7.30pm. The unique Abba sound is replicated using a six-piece band featuring electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards and piano, drums and bass guitar. Full price tickets cost £21.75, concessions £20.75, Privilege Card Holders £19.75.
