Traditionally the set for a farce has five entrances to the stage, and Tom, Dick and Harry is no exception in Tory Cobb’s design. However, this is no typical farce, as no trousers fall, and no illicit affairs develop between the characters. Consequently we have an ingenious and inventive plot suitable for all the family, with non-stop hilarity in one of Michael and Ray Cooney’s finest plays, ably directed by David Janson.

Darrell Brockis, Rikki Lawton and Bob Dobson play the three brothers after whom the play is named. Tom’s wife is Rosanna Miles, and Claire Jeater plays the lady from the adoption agency whose impending visit causes so much angst. Melissa Clements, James Morley and Richard Blaine are three very much unexpected and unwanted guests whose extraordinary and bizarre arrival adds to the chaos. Michael Shaw completes the cast as an inquisitive but often bumbling police officer.

A highly recommended evening of entertainment.

The production continues in Southwold until Saturday, August 12 and then transfers to Aldeburgh from Monday, August 14.
