Emergency services were called out to assist as a multi-agency search was conducted for a missing man.
Two RNLI lifeboats, police and coastguard rescue teams were called shortly after 11pm on Saturday (January 21) when a vulnerable man was reported missing and was thought to be in the Southwold area.
With the Southwold RNLI inshore lifeboat launched, as it searched Southwold Harbour and along the banks of the River Blyth as far as Blythburgh, they were joined by Lowestoft lifeboat in a search of the shoreline from Covehithe to Benacre.
Lowestoft Lifeboat coxswain John Fox said: "Just before 1am the missing person's phone was detected inland and the lifeboat crews were stood down."
