A partially renovated former commercial patrol vessel has failed to sell at an auction.

Three Rivers - a 50ft motor boat in need of restoration - had been marketed by Auction House East Anglia.

It was due to be sold at an online auction on Wednesday, February 8 with a guide price of £5,000 to £10,000 plus fees.

The oak framed and cast iron former commercial patrol vessel is currently based at Brooke Business and Industrial Park in Heath Road, Oulton Broad, Lowestoft.

The property description from the auctioneers said it is "a 50ft wooden motor vessel with larch planking and teak deck" that is "partially renovated but in need of further restoration or conversion."

It adds: "The boat was originally commissioned in 1967 for the Northumberland and Tyneside River Board but is now out of the water and in storage following a partial renovation.

"The boat is not currently seaworthy but the sale includes the two Gardner 6LX Diesel Engines x 127BHP (not tested)."

However, the "50ft motor boat in need of restoration" was "unsold" at the auction.
