Parts of Suffolk were hit with strong winds recorded at almost 50mph overnight. 

Storm Fergus hit the county on Sunday evening bringing risks of high winds and flood warnings. 

Dan Holley, a weather forecaster based in East Anglia, said Wattisham recorded maximum wind speeds of 46mph in the early hours of this morning. 

 

 

Four flood alerts remain in place across the county this morning, including one for Rattlesden River and the River Gipping through Stowmarket and Needham Market.
