Temporary flood barriers will be dismantled and removed as predicted high water levels do not pose as much risk as previously thought.
The barriers were initially set up on Wednesday on the south side of Lake Lothing in Lowestoft as the Environment Agency believed areas of Kirkley Ham and Belvedere Road were at risk of flooding.
Recent forecasts have now shown a reduction in predicted high water levels of around 30cm.

The Water Management Alliance on behalf of East Suffolk Council will be taking down the barriers this afternoon.

Those visiting or living on the Suffolk coast have been advised to stay away from cliff edges, take notice of signage, keep dogs on leads and not climb on eroding cliffs.
