A lamp post, telegraph pole and wall outside a home were all damaged after a stolen car careered off the road.
The crash caused "significant damage" to the vehicle - which was later found abandoned in a neighbouring alleyway.
Police are seeking witnesses and are appealing for information in connection with the hunt for the motorist - who fled from the scene of the early morning crash in Lowestoft - under way.
With major damage caused, Lowestoft police officers, UK Power Networks and Highways officials were all called to Hillcrest Drive in the Gunton area of north Lowestoft on Wednesday (April 17).
Police were alerted at 4.30am following reports that a "telegraph pole had fallen in the road."
With officers attending, a damaged lamp post and damaged wall were also discovered which were "likely to have been caused by a collision with a vehicle."
Subsequent inquiries led police to locate a white Ford Mondeo with "significant damage" in an alleyway between El Alamein Road and Mountbatten Road in Lowestoft.
The car is understood to have been stolen from Frostenden Crescent in the early hours - and was later found abandoned less than a mile away.
It led to a footpath being cordoned off on Hillcrest Drive on Wednesday morning.
A police spokesman told this newspaper: "Police were called shortly before 4.30am this morning (Wednesday, April 17), to reports that a telegraph pole had fallen in the road on Hillcrest Drive.
"Officers attended and found a lamp post had also fallen and there was signs of damage to a wall outside a property, likely to have been caused by a collision with a vehicle.
"Following enquiries, police located a white Ford Mondeo with significant damage in an alleyway between El Alamein Road and Mountbatten Road.
"The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from Frostenden Crescent.
"UK Power Networks and Highways were also called to the scene."
