There will be an opportunity to throw on your 1940’s frocks, suits and uniforms and dance the night away to the big band sound featuring 20 musicians at a summer swing dance taking place next Friday.
The fun filled night of 1940’s entertainment has been organised as a fundraiser for the Topcats charity and is being held from 7pm on Friday, September 1 at The Players Theatre in Battery Green Road, Lowestoft.
Spokesman Francesca Warren said: “The music for the evening is being provided by The Jazz For Chaz Big Band - a group of 20 musicians from all over the country, with a number of them studying at the Royal College of Music, all who have given up their time for free to perform 1940’s classics. It promises to be a great night for a good cause.
“Topcats is a small, local charity based in Morton Road, Pakefield providing supported activities and opportunities for young people with disabilities and additional needs.”
Joshua Pickering will be the host for the evening and there will also be a licensed bar and raffle.
Tickets costing £10 are available on the door on the night or by contacting 01502 531897 or email email@example.com in advance.
