FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft were kept busy with two blazes in quick succession.
A crew from Lowestoft South station were firstly called out following reports of a hedge on fire in Fir Lane on Wednesday, November 9. Firefighters arrived at the scene just before 5pm and discovered a large quantity of rubbish on fire, which they quickly extinguished, with the blaze under control by 5.15pm.
Another crew from Lowestoft South were then called out at 5.57pm following reports of a shed on fire on Harbour Road. Crews arrived to find a skip on fire, which was quickly put out as the scene was cleared by 6.13pm.
