FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft spent more than 20 minutes tackling a frying pan blaze at a flat in the town.
Crews from North Lowestoft and South Lowestoft fire stations were called out at 11.46am this morning (Tuesday)following reports of a flat fire in Hollingsworth Road.
On arrival a spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the crews found a 'smoke logged kitchen' at a 'first floor flat.' They used two breathing apparatus and ventilation to clear the smoke, with the scene cleared by 12.09pm as the source of the blaze was discovered as a 'fire in frying pan.'
