CALLOUS thieves stole a pensioner's black purse from a shelf in a Lowestoft charity shop.
The ladies black purse, containing a small amount of cash and cards, was stolen from the Salvation Army shop in London Road South about 2.30pm on Wednesday (December 8).
A lady in her 80s put the purse down on the shelf while she looked at items and then went to the till but realised she had left her purse behind. A search was made but the purse wasn't found and it's thought someone may have stolen it.
Police are asking anyone who was in the shop around this time to come forward. Anyone with information about the incident or the person responsible is asked to call PC 929 Durrant at Lowestoft police station on 01986 835300.
