THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium followed by a memorial service at St Margaret's Church, Toftmonks on October 14 of John William Pettitt who died on September 28 aged 96.
THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium followed by a memorial service at St Margaret's Church, Toftmonks on October 14 of John William Pettitt who died on September 28 aged 96.
The Rev Martin Housman officiated at both services.
Mourners were: Andrew and Christine Pettitt (son and daughter-in-law), Nichola and Rowan Patterson (daughter and son-in-law), Ian and Lyn Pettitt (son and daughter-in-law), David and Donna Pettitt (grandson and wife), Susan and Steve Sturman (granddaughter and husband), grandchildren Hannah, Naomi, Alexander, Carl and Bryn, great grandchildren Benjamin, Toby, Louise and Katie, Don and Brenda Sporle, Sheila Braboen, Eileen and Bryn Stauton-West, Gwyneth and Chris Wright, Pat and Bert Turner, Meriel Darling, Anne Cunningham, Charles Moore.
Unable to attend were: Christine and Louise Mouland, John Fielding, Jane Tregoning, Trevor and Yvonne Stauton-West, Robert Stauton-West.
Many more relatives and friends attended the memorial service at Toftmonks.
The family wish to thank all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy and messages and the kindness and hard work of the staff at the James Paget University Hospital and for the donations to St Dunstan's. Will all please accept this as the only but most sincere acknowledgment.
Funeral arrangements were by Harvey Bros, Kirby Cane.
