THE funeral service took place at St Margaret's Church followed by the committal at Gorleston Crematorium on October 7 for Malcolm Reginald John Battrick of Oulton who died on September 27, aged 68.

THE funeral service took place at St Margaret's Church followed by the committal at Gorleston Crematorium on October 7 for Malcolm Reginald John Battrick of Oulton who died on September 27, aged 68.

The Reverend Canon John Simpson officiated.

Many more friends and colleagues from various organisations were present including those from Lowestoft District and Waveney Valley District Scouts, Suffolk Scouts, Lowestoft Scout Fellowship, Lowestoft College, Probus, Ashley School, Guide Division, Oulton Community Council, St John's Ambulance, Somerleyton Estate, Lifeguard Corps, Lowestoft Country Market.

Unable to attend were: Molly Denham, Val and Brian Person, Janet Lawson, Mary and Robert Oxborough, Roger Youngs, Doug and Bridget Wright and Ben Wright.

The family of the late Mr Malcolm Battrick wish to thank all relatives and friends for their many kind expressions of sympathy, and donations received.
