At their first meeting of the autumn season chairman Clare Cakebread welcomed club members and introduced the Iceni Singers who presented a delightful selection of songs, poems and dance. Accompanied by a skilful keyboard player the group's repertoire was thoroughly appreciated by the audience who were soon joining in many well-known songs. Raffle winners were: Anne Jones, Monica King and Ruby Moss. The next meeting of the club will be held on October 6 starting at the earlier time of 2.15pm when speaker Paul Davies will present an illustrated lecture on The History of Seaside Postcards. A varied programme of talks and light entertainment is scheduled for the coming session. Meetings are held twice-monthly at St Mark's Church Centre, Oulton Broad and new members are always welcome. More details can be obtained from the secretary on 01502 584088.
