A NORWICH-BASED law firm that specialises in employment law and personal injury claims has opened a branch in Yarmouth - to allow it to further expand its client list in Lowestoft.
The expansion of Gordon Dean Solicitors - which began life in 2005 - has come on the back of a surge in employment tribunal redundancy claims, with actions for 'failure to inform and consult' up by 65pc on last year's figures.
Redundancy pay claims rose by 26pc between 2007-08 and 2008-09, while claims for unfair dismissal rose by 11pc.
'We already act for many clients in Yarmouth, Lowestoft and the surrounding area,' said managing partner Gordon Dean.
'It has been clear to me for some time that there is a high demand for specialist employment law advice for both employers and employees.'
The Yarmouth office is in Church Plain.
