Corton Wives - Corton Wives' annual birthday party was held in the village hall last month. The celebrations included a meal in the form of a ploughman's lunch, a raffle with a prize for everyone and a general knowledge quiz.
Corton Wives - Corton Wives' annual birthday party was held in the village hall last month. The celebrations included a meal in the form of a ploughman's lunch, a raffle with a prize for everyone and a general knowledge quiz. At the May meeting members will hear about the work carried out by Waveney Women's Aid.
Coffee morning - Monthly coffee mornings resume at the Methodist Church on Wednesday at 10am. The mornings offer a friendly welcome to all and, as well as refreshments, there is a raffle and stalls for cakes, gifts, books, toys and jigsaws.
Celebration supper - Twenty-eight people met at St Bartholomew's Church on Wednesday of last week and enjoyed a celebration supper in honour of St George. Following the traditional fish and chips, there was a quiz and word games, before the evening was rounded off by the singing of appropriately themed songs to the accompaniment of church organist Rachel Cossey on keyboard.
Church services - On Sunday there will be a service of all age worship at St Bartholomew's Church at 9.30am. The service at Corton Methodist Church at 11am will be led by Rev P Bayliss.
