A VAN driver has been banned from the road after admitting causing death by careless driving following the death of a Lowestoft motorcyclist.
Peter Fowell died after the motorbike he was riding was in collision with a Ford Transit van on the South Lowestoft Industrial Estate in October last year.
On Tuesday, Charles Killick, of Pevensey in East Sussex, pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving when he appeared at Lowestoft magistrates court.
Killick was driving his blue Ford van along Cooke Road in Gisleham, when he was in collision with Mr Fowell's motorbike at about 7.30am on October 28.
Mr Fowell, 27, of Oulton Street in Oulton, near Lowestoft, died from his injuries.
Killick, 25, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and given a 12-month community order during which he will have to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay the prosecution costs.
