The annual exhibition of Oulton Broad Art Circle was opened on May 22 by Miles Lamdin, general manager of Durrants Auctioneers. Miles lectures regularly on art and art movements. He chose and presented the Best Watercolour Award to Derek Cook and Best in Show prize to Margaret Sanders. The four highly commended pictures were by Jacqueline Smith, Carol Kemp, Malcolm Wooltorton and Marie Paine. There are 123 paintings for sale, cards of paintings by members of the Circle, and a raffle prize of a watercolour painting by David Balder. The exhibition continues until May 31 at the Martial Arts Centre, Bridge Road, Oulton Broad.
